On this tour you will be able to see the impressive remains of the old roman city of Tarraco. Tarragona was one of the most important cities in the Roman empire, and capital in the province Tarraconensis. Today the ruins from the romans play an important role in Tarragona: the remains of the amphitheater and the circus are among the most impressive in modern Spain. But Tarragona also has an imposing cathedral and a cozy historical centre.
After the visit to Tarraco we continue on to Sitges. Here it will be possible to relax at the charming cafes, stroll on the famous promenade along the Mediterranean sea or check out the fancy shops on Sitges' main street.

The province Tarraconensis and its capital Tarraco (the name for Roman Tarragona) was one of the most important in the Roman empire. Just before dying, the Roman Emperor Hadrian, who was born in the south of Hispania (the Roman Spain) wrote his memoirs and praised Tarraco as one of the most beautiful cities he had visited in his life.
Here, Hadrian said, the 40.000 inhabitants produced wine and other products that had the same quality as in Rome, and the climate was perfect - an eternal spring as he called it.
