3 Day Wine Tour: Penedès, Priorat & Barcelona

First Winery Visit: Jean Leon

After pick-up at the hotel in Barcelona we reach Jean Leon in Penedès (1 hour drive) in the beautiful, hilly Penedès. Here you will get to know the incredible story about Cefarino Carrión who changed his name to Jean Leon and travelled from Spain over France to America to reach fame creating the La Scala Restaurant together with James Dean.

After the visit to Jean Leon, you will enjoy a splendid lunch, of course paired with local Penedès wines.

Second Winery Visit: Parés Baltà

The second winery visit of the day is a visit to one of the best places in Penedès, Perés Baltà. Here you will enjoy the vineyards from a private jeep before tasting some of the appellations best red wines. After the visit to Parés Baltà the bus will drive you back to Barcleona and leave you at your hotel.

Full day excursion to Priorat

Visit to Scala Dei

The day start with pick-up at your hotel in Barcelona with a private and comfortable bus. The tour now goes south (1 hour and 45 minutes) until reaching the first winery in Priorat: the legendary Scala Dei. This winery takes its name from the monastery Scala Dei that was founded by carthusian monks in the 11th century. Here you will taste the famous red wines of the winery and also try their excellent olive oil.

Lunch in Gratallops

From Scala Dei the drive to Gratallops is a beautiful tour along winding roads. You will pass the charming La Vella Baixa before reaching Gratallops. Gratallops is a small village, but home to almost 30 wineries.

Visit to Ferrer Bobet

From Gratallops we continue our journey along the old road towards Porrera. Here we will visit Ferrer Bobet, one of the best wineries in Priorat. The bus then goes back towards Barcelona with views of the Montsant mountains on the way.

Barcelona's shops and markets is the perfect ending of the tour

The last day is spent in Barcelona where you will be able to enjoy local wineshops, markets, and speciality shops where you are able to see local products.

Lunch by the Mediterranean Sea

After a stroll through the city of Barcelona you will be picked up by the bus who will take you to a nice, traditional restaurant by the seaside. Here you will be able to enjoy a nice lunch with views of the Mediterranean Sea.

The bus goes directly from the restaurant to the airport.
